Pilot for a Day Program

 

The Pilot for a Day program is one where seriously ill children are invited to a unit, given tours and demonstrations and memorabilia. I have been very fortunate to participate in the 102nd FW and the 159th FW programs, with the 102nd being the most numerous. Below are photos I received from the 102nd FW after the first child I made a model for. When I offered to make the models, I made it clear that I didn't expect or want to be part of the day's events....I just wanted to help bring a smile to his or her face. Hasegawa 1/72nd F-15C with Two Bob's decals built for the 102nd FW's Pilot for a Day. Was a rush build, done in about 6 hours over a 10 day period.

ESCI 1/72nd F-15A in 159th FW markings built for the 159th FW's Pilot for a Day. Expert's Choice and homemade decals.  I have built 1 model for their program for seriously ill children.
