109th Airlift Wing Trip to Colorado Springs

16-18 October 2008

Extra special thanks to the 109th AW, The Chamber of Schenectady County and the Schenectady Military Affairs Council

I was extremely fortunate to be invited to travel to Colorado Springs with the 109th AW New York ANG and the Chamber of Schenectady County / Schenectady Military Affairs Council flying in a LC-130H Hercules ski-bird. Enroute to Colorado Springs, the 139th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron trained for their mission. While in Colorado Springs, we had a briefing at Space Command, dinner at the Eisenhower Golf Course, briefing and tour of NORAD / Cheyenne Mountain and tour of the USAF Academy. Personally, I cannot thank everyone involved enough for such a terrific trip and hospitality.
